Welcome to my Teaching Portfolio. This is a work-in-progress site, so over the next few weeks, I will continue to make changes to its content and structure. This site represents the work that I have developed with my students over the past 8 years. The menu above is organized by the courses that I have taught during this time, and each course contains a series of projects that I have facilitated in those courses. It is important to note that all of these courses were Beginner Level (up until this year). Thus many of my students have been new to Studio Art, and it has been part of my goal to introduce them to this discipline with a welcoming acceptance of whatever their skill or experience level may be. I feel that one of my greatest strengths as a teacher is connecting with students of all backgrounds. This strength demands a high level of flexibility, patience, and reflection that I have crafted ever since I began this profession.
I firmly believe that great teachers do not operate as islands, but instead, make efforts to compliment the larger curriculum and mission of the school they work within.
